Ruth Ann Binder

Ruth Ann Binder is a professional life coach, mother, nonprofit consultant, and activist with a strong commitment to and experience in social change organizations. Prior to becoming a coach, Ruth Ann was the executive director of Rebuilding Together San Francisco, a community development organization that renovates homes, schools and community centers with the involvement of thousands of volunteers. During that time she was a LeaderSpring Fellow and was more recently chair of its Leadership Council. She is also on the founding leadership team of the Adoption Museum Project, the first museum to explore the story of adoption.
Ruth Ann is recognized as an effective communicator, energetic collaborator, and solid manager in progressive and entrepreneurial ventures. Ruth Ann’s dedication to anti-oppression and anti-poverty work is fueled by her Jewish upbringing in Los Angeles. The work of Bend the Arc is a powerful blend of Ruth Ann’s passions of social justice and Judaism. Ruth Ann is currently an active member of Temple Sinai and lives with her husband and children in Oakland.
