2014 Voter Guide: Making Sense of the California Propositions

Since 2005, Bend the Arc has produced voter guides for statewide propositions in California and this election is no exception. Inspired by our traditions and history, a committee of volunteers assessed the six propositions appearing on California’s November 4 ballot, studying their meaning and likely impact.

Voting Rights Day of Action: Highlights

On June 24, Bend the Arc organized a nationwide day of action to commemorate the murders of Goodman, Chaney, and Schwerner and to increase pressure on congress to restore voting rights for all Americans. Our community raised our voices and got the attention of national press with our powerful message. We even caught the attention of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, which has added yartzeit candles from the day of action to its Political History collection.
